(More customer reviews)If you have needs for a basic mouse either for your laptop/netbook or your desktop, the Logitech m215 is a very good option to look at. I have had a number of Logitech mice over the years, and my wife swiped one of my older ones to use in her classroom. That's how I found myself in need of a replacement. This mouse is in essence the next generation of the Logitech V220 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks (Dark Silver) (see my review) which also happens to be the one that my wife snagged. I am currently using it to as an alternative to the corded mouse that came with my desktop computer at home. It has the same basic functions, but it gives the wonderful freedom from the cord. One upgrade over the V220 model is the receiver is now nano-sized. While this is more important for laptop/notebook use, it is nice that it doesn't take up much space even on a desktop. It is a little more work to retrieve it from the USB port, but the intent is that you leave it in. As for usage, it is no frills. It has left and right buttons and a scroll wheel. If you don't need any additional features, I recommend this unit. Logitech has become my preferred and trusted brand for computer peripherals.
