I've always liked Logitech products, which is why I bought the LX715 without proper research. In fact, I already have a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse on another computer I use. After purchasing this product, I found two major drawbacks to the LX715.
1) The mouse requires batteries. In many of Logitech's other sets, the mouse is recharbable and sits in a cradle/charger when not in use. Since I am on the computer all day, there is no way I can use a mouse which requires batteries. I'd be replacing them every few weeks. Most keyboards require batteries (as does this one), but that is another story. Keyboard batteries last 6-12 months, so it isn't that big of an issue.
2) In the picture of this item, do you see the thing that looks like a wrist rest? That is the wireless receiver that plugs into your computer's usb port. It is also the place where you plug in the headset. If you don't use the headset, you'll still need to use that wrist-rest to pickup the signal from the keyboard/mouse.
I'm sure this is a quality product, but I think that Logitech missed the boat on the design, so I can't recommend it.
